Toddler and Burlington

by cedarstone Online Now Apr 25, 2005 at 1:52 PM

I am planning a trip to Burlington area with my wife and 3 year old daughter. We are looking to stay in Burlington area, or to be based there. Can anyone suggest a 1 bedroom suite hotel. Also want to know if there is plently to do for a toddler.
Thanks.

University Inn and Suites is very nice and affordable too, but if you're comming during leaf peeping season you'd better book now
Its not downtown, but at most a 5 minute drive to downtown
    as for the toddler
does any town have things specifically for a toddler?
just strap them into your stroller or backcarrier and enjoy the town

You might enjoy ECHO, the science center at the waterfront. Its oriented towards little kids.

Shelburne Farm is a working farm reconstructing early 19th century farm life. Kids can even churn butter and help milk cows, which is pretty cool if your 3 years old. Lot's of hands on stuff to do there. Just go south out of the main route (probably 7 is best) and head south to Shelburne. The signs will point you to the place.

Echo is also quite good and you might even want to take a ferry over to the NY side and see the scenery on the way. The driver occasionally lets kids "steer" the boat.
