I'm planning a leisurely trip back to CT from Burlington on May 16. Any recommendations for specific roads to travel? Thanks.
Route 7, especially in western Massachusetts and Connecticut, has some really nice scenery on it. However, Route 7 is pretty slow going in places.

Route 7 from Burlington south to Middlebury might be replaced by Route 116 if you are in no hurry. That way you miss all the South Burlington, Shelburne traffic. You can rejoin Route 7 in East Middlebury.
