Hi! My family and I are taking a tour of Ireland. We're going to spend two days in Bunratty. Would anyone know if there is any thrift shops in the town? Also, can someone recommend a good pub to check out? Thanks so much!
Right across the street from Bunratty castle is a restaurant/pub. Had a great time listening to two gentleman playing pipes and fiddle. gary

The nearest metropolis to Bunratty is Limerick city. Try Modesty in William St., Limerick, it is a fantastic thrift store and their jean selection is great :-) Pls check my Limerick page for pub tips. Orla

Thank you very much for the suggestion. That's where we will be staying while in Bunratty, so that's a handy thing to know.

Thanks for the tip on the thrift store. Not sure if we are going to make it to Limerick on the trip, but if we are, I'll be sure to look for the store. Thanks!

Stay in County Clare, visit for just one day in Bunratty (the castle and folk park ) then head for nearby Ennis and the Burren. Just outside Ballyvaughan, if you can stay in a fabulous guesthouse called Drumcreehy House, overlooking the bay. (www.drumcreehyhouse.com)
