Bus service up to Fraser's Hill

by xinanelz Online Now Jan 22, 2006 at 11:19 PM

Hi All, I have an urgent question to ask as I'll be leaving for KL this weekend (CNY 28/02/06)! We are from Singapore going to KL and planning to go up to Fraser's Hill for 3 days. Have already booked Silverpark Hotel. Hope it's good. Any comments? Also there seems to be different timings for the bus up to Fraser's Hill. Anyone have taken a bus from Kuala Kubu before? As we are staying at Pan Pacific in KL, how long do you think we need to get to Kuala Kubu and catch the bus to Fraser's Hill? And how long will the whole journey last? Also mentioned in one website, the bus will drop us at The Gap and we need to walk up 7km to Fraser's Hill??? Is that true? Any other way we can arrive directly to Fraser's Hill? How much will a taxi fare cost? Heard that taxis is Msia not that reliable, we are all girls and a bit worried about travelling in a taxi. Can someone plese reply ASAP?! Thanks a lot. My post is probably all over the place but I hope you guys get what I'm trying to ask. Thank you again for replying. :)

Bus If you intend travelling by bus to Fraser's Hill, you will be able to catch a Tanjong Malim bound bus "Naeila" from Pudu Raya bus terminal in Kuala Lumpur which has a stopover at Kuala Kubu Bahru bus station. From Kuala Kubu Bahru bus station, you will have to take another bus up to Fraser's Hill. The bus travelling up to the summit leaves Kuala Kubu Bahru twice daily, at 8.30 am and 2.30 pm, while the downhill bus leaves Fraser's Hill at 10.00 am and 4.00 pm .Bus Fares: Kuala Lumpur - Kuala Kubu Bahru RM 4.50 Kuala Kubu Bahru - Fraser's Hill RM 3.20 (Fares are subject to change without notice) Taxi Taxis plying directly to Fraser's Hill are also available from Kuala Lumpur. You can call any of the radio taxis from Kuala Lumpur. The fare is between RM120.00 to RM150.00 one way (max 4 passengers). You can try one of the radio taxi companies at 603-2693 6213. Since the journey takes 2 hours, ask for a newer taxi when you are making the booking. Relax and enjoy yourself....Fraser's hill is a very nice place. Remember to have their traditional english high tea with scones...yummy.... Cheers, Wee Hui.

If you miss the bus, the taxi ride from Kuala Kubu Bahru to Fraser's Hill should do it. An its not that expensive. The taxi are ok, only some tend to charge exorbitantly if they know you are a tourist. really do try the scones....awesome

hi (what is your name)... you are right, if you go by bus, they will drop you at the gap and you will have to find your way up to fraser's... the distance is 8km... no bus is allowed to use the gap road (as i understand it)... the best option is to take a taxi directly from klumpur as there are very very few taxis (if there are any) in kuala kubu baru... and i am sure that you will have to pay a "bomb" if it is cny eve that you are going (are you sure as feb 28 is not cny eve!!!)... regards.chia
