by hyazinthara Online Now Mar 11, 2012 at 11:36 PM

Hi, I would like to see the Floralis Generica (at Plaza de las Naciones Unidas) when it closes at dusk, but I'm not sure whether it is too dangerous to do it by myself, as it means standing around in a park with a camera in the dark... What are your toughts? Are there many people on the streets in this area? Is it a dangerous neighborhood? Thanks in advance!

    • good buffet breakfast in Buenos Aires

by hyazinthara Online Now Mar 11, 2012 at 11:28 PM

Hi everyone, I am looking for a hotel in Buenos Aires that has a good buffet breakfast. It should be located close to a metro station. Budget is up to around 90 US$ per night for a single room. I really love breakfast, but in South America, it's very hard to find a good buffet breakfast (croissants, bread, cereals, fruit and yoghurt would be appreciated). I am thinking of the Ibis Buenos Aires Obelisco, as the Ibis chain has good buffet breakfast in Europe. Is it similar in Buenos Aires? Thanks for your answers!

    • luggage storage for a few hours in AEP? or the shuttle station in city center?

by crazy4ocean Online Now Feb 14, 2012 at 10:09 AM

Hello, My plane arrives BA at 9:10am in EZE this Saturday, then I need to fly out from AEP at 3:55pm. I plan to use a few hours to visit the city center also find a good place to eat, etc, but I have a big suitcase with me. 1. does AEP have lockers or counters that I can store my luggage for a few hours? (it's too early to check in if I go directly to AEP after arriving EZE). 2. I heard that the shuttle from EZE to AEP actually stops in the city center en route, does the shuttle station in the city center have lockers or counters that I can store my luggage for a few hours? so that I can tour the city center and eat, then take the shuttle to AEP. 3. what is the estimate cost of one way shuttle from EZE to AEP? then AEP to city center? and about how much time of each trip, on a Saturday? 4. how often do the shuttles run? Thanks a lot.

      Left luggage - where?

by Kikitriky Online Now Feb 7, 2012 at 4:54 AM

Dear firends, I expect to arrive in BA on 17/02 by 8 am. The hotel I am staying at allows for check in not earlier than 2 p.m. This means that we have several hours to spend with our big suitcases which is rather inconvinient. Can you advise me where to leave the luggage for a couple of hours and take a first walk in BA without the heavy luggage? The same issue stays for the departure day - check out is at 11 am, departure flight is late in the evening. Thanks in advance!

    • Layover between AEP and EZE - where to sleep?

by wrombel Online Now Dec 3, 2011 at 9:46 AM

Hi all, my wife and I arrive at AEP (aeroparque) airport at 11.50 pm and have to be at EZE (pistarini) airport at about 5.30 am the next day. Small particularity: it'll be the 31st of Dec. :-) Would you suggest staying in a hotel near AEP (we already found one) or would you rather take a taxi (or better a remise?) to EZE and stay there for the night? I assume there will be quite a chaos around on sylvester. We already thought of staying awake but I think neither AEP area nor EZE is a place to go out. Thanks for any idea!

    • books in Buenos Aires

by querti2011 Online Now Nov 23, 2011 at 7:23 PM

Hello, I'm from Buenos Aires and new to this forum. I study English and one of the things that I do is to watching didactic videos in this language. Teachers in those lectures suggest to read books that It's not possible to find in the local market. I was wondering if an American comes here to Bs.As, if it could be possible for that person to carry a couple of books with him/her I would pay to this person some money for helping me with this... maybe 50% of the normal price for the shipping. I try this because the shipments very often costs more than the books! Thanks in advance for any answer! Cheers!
