I am a passable transvestite who is comfortable going out in my home city of Toronto Canada. Any tips on where to go in Buenos Aires that are safe friendly and fun for a gurl like me?

Hi, which are of BA are you planning on staying? I don´t think you´ll have any problems here, but we are not the safiest city (we are like Africa compared to Toronto hehehe) There´s are lots of places in Palermo and it´s very safe there are lot´s of clubs categorized as gay friendly but I don´t think you´ll have any problems going to most clubs. Not sure what type of music you like or if you preffer a bar or a club but if you like electronic music I would suggest going to State (alsina 940 http://statebsas.com.ar/) it´s in the downtown area, try getting there by a taxi since the downtown area by night it´s not the best to be walking around speacilly if you´re not familiar with it.
