Transport to ferry

by kyoub Online Now Jan 4, 2008 at 6:54 AM

We will arrive at EZE airport and will need to get to the Buquebus ferry for our onward trip to Uruguay. What is the best way to do this, how long will it take, what will it cost?

There is a bus from EZE to the Madero Terminal; takes about 40 minutes and will cost 35 pesos. See: tiendaleon.com.ar/home/home....

I have tried several times to purchase a ticket on the fast ferry to Colonia and cannot do it. If the fast ferry goes at 12:30 PM on the day I'd like to go, is it a problem to get a ticket at the terminal?

If the day is on the weekend or a holiday then the tickets will usually sell out in advance for the ferries to Uruguay. If this is the case, then try to call Buquebus to buy the ticket. Good Luck!!

I do agree with the others. You should buy the tickets to colonia in advance. WE couldn't go there becuase we tried to get the ticket with no time and everything was booked. To get to the boat terminal you should get taxi.

Leave yourself plenty of time to buy tickets at Buquebus for the express ferry. I had to go stand in 5 different lines before I finally received ticket. Just be patient. The ride to Colonia is great on the fast boat. We stayed in Colonia one night at nice hotel next to the lighthouse. We did not need car as you can walk from Ferry to the historical town. Great shops and great food. I could have stayed there for a long time. I loved Colonia.
