My husband and I will have reservations at the Sheraton in Iguazu Falls for the 14th through 16th of March. We will be in Buenos Aires on the 1st of March. Will this give us enough time to make flight reservations from BA to Iguazu to should we try to arrange the flight before we leave the U.S.? Can anyone recommend a reliable travel agent in BA? Thanks
Better make the booking in advance, since you have precise dates to arrive and to leave. Do it from USA.

I don't have an almanac with me, but if those dates (14th-16th) are not on the Easter week, You'll have plenty of time, so don't worry!!! About the travel agency, try www.asatej.com.ar (in Spanish) or send an email to Diego Gayo (dgayo@asatej.com.ar). Good luck! Guille

Hi, Yes I CAN recommend a reliable travel agent in BA: Argentinian Explorer (argentinianexplorer.com). You might ask for Maria, with whom we dealt. My wife and I were in Argentina this month (Dec '05) during the Aerolineas Argentinas strike. We had already arranged in-country flights with Maria, and our whole trip was dependent on getting from one place to another by air. Maria was so very helpful (and available) during the strike, doing everything in her power to re-schedule us, and otherwise hold our hands. I never have had better service from anyone anywhere. Thank you so much for all of the good advice. We were able to make airline reservations at lan.com for360.00 U.S. for 2 round trip tickets. We made the reservations through their website (you need your passport number to complete the form) and got not only an immediate response, but a follow up confirmation email explaining all of the details for our electronic ticket. We have been planning this trip for several months and have really enjoyed using this forum. THANKS TO ALL!

Yes don't forget the visa. Many people don't realise you need an advance one for Brazil cost about 220US each for US citizens. We have done all our booking for a March/April Sth American trip in advance.Cheaper for us to fly from Rio to BA and fly to Europe from BA than it is to fly out of Rio.

Hi North America. We just got a Brazilian visa down in OZ .There site said it was 220 for US citizens in reciprocation for the fee charged in the US for Brazilians.Obviously they must have been some mutual governments agreement to reduce..aren't you lucky. see www.brazilsydney.org.
