christmas markets

Hi, Iam hoping for some infomation from a local.I will be arriving in Budapest on christmas eve and I very much want to see the christmas markets,but I have looked on two different websites and one says the markets ends on december 24th and the other one says that they go on until the 1st of Jan.Can any one tell me which is the correct date? Thanks, Cat
