Does anyone know the bag/clothes repair service in Bucharest? I have a bag with a small hole and want to fix that one. I think it just need a small patch that can be attached with the ironing - do you know the clothes with some cloth glue on the back and can be sticked to a clothes by heating it?
I could by a new bag but the damage is very tiny and just need someone to put a black patch on that spot to be OK. Or does anyone know a DIY store selling such a cloth for a small fixing? I think Auchen might have one but I don't have time for checking around all the possible stores.
This is gona sound like a weird question but, where can I buy some Christmas tree lights in Bucharest like, NOW?

The last time I was in Bucuresti, I got a ride from Otopeni to the hotel in Pantelimon. Traffic was HORRIBLE along 1/E60 so the driver turned off on Soseaua de centuri and we FLEW all the way to 3. Is this typical traffic for vineri around 1500? I'm trying to decide whether to go to the hotel first (it's near Unirii) or pick up Cosy first and THEN go there. If I go to the hotel, shower and change, it might be 1800 before I can get to pick her up and I remember traffic at that hour in the city center was a disaster. Any recommendations? Mersi!
Hello all! Well, it's been 2 years but I am headed back to Romania! :)) Something that goofed me up last time was not having a phone to use. So I wanted to ask if there's a way to get a cheap prepaid phone maybe at the airport or something? I don't need much .. just something to text with. I have a smartphone but it's not on the same frequency as Europe. I do have skype on it but obviously that only works with an internet connection. After arrival, I'm going to pick up the rental car and go straight to pick up Cosmina and just need to let her know that I'm on the way so maybe, if there's dependable wifi at Otopeni, I could use skype from there to send an SMS to her phone? We could figure out a phone later I guess. I seriously don't remember what wifi was like there when I was there in 2012 .. or if there were prepaid phones for sale.
Any info is appreciated. I leave in 2 weeks! Can't wait!!! :D
Will be living Minreva hotel to Otopeni airport on November 27 flight scheduled 06:00 AM gruop of 4. Therefore need a taxi at 03:00 AM. Is it a problem order cabs by night from hotel? Night fare?
Where in BUcharest can I find some souvenirs like fridge magnets...t- shirts..postcards etc???Many thanks!
I am about to relocate in Bucharest and I am looking for any links to rent a flat without using a real agent.
I have read numerous articles about transferring from Bucharest AP to downtown, but I am totally confused. I need to transfer 2 people from the Airport to the train station (express bus 780), and then back from downtown to airport (express bus 783). What ticket/tickets do I need (one or two each direction?), how do I get them, and can I pay by credit card? Please be as specific as possible as I understand nothing is in engish.
I understand that 783 and 780 are "express" busses, so do I need to buy a special ticket for them and if yes from where and how much is it?
We will be staying a couple of days in September at Athenee Palace Hilton. does anyone have any recommendations of reasonably good, reasonably priced restaurants within easy walking distance.
What are some of the local products as far as foods..drinks..cosmetics that are good to buy for souvenirs and own use?? I try to steer clear of very touristy stuff.
Also can bottled water be easily found out and about? I do not know if they have kiosks on streets with water and as we do here in Athens.
Where can stamps be found besides post office?
Hello, I am from Mexico, has been in Kiev last fall, I am planing to make a trip to Bucharest and in the itinerary I want to include a visit to Kiev on a rented car, dropping it in Kiev, What would be the main recomendations to consider? I appreciate your comments.
I find contradictory information about the bus 783 going from Otopeni to the centre of Bucharest. Some sites say it circulates from 5am to 23.30pm, but the link at the airport site says it circulates all night. I arrive at Otopeni at 1.30 am, shall I presume there will be 783 bus at that time or its better not to count on it?
Hi there, can anyone tell me if there is a daily train or bus service running from Bucharest to Beograd? I'll be visiting in October. Where can I check times and book?
Any Suggestion for a stay in Bucharest for 4 nights in August? I am planning a short trip to Romania the next month and i was wondering if facilities offered by 3 star hotels are comfortable? We will be leaving our hotel in Central Bucharest to stay in one closer to the airpor tas we have an early flight next day. Is there a metro line which will take us close to Denisa Hotel (Drumul Garii Otopeni nr 62)? Thanks for help
Does anyone know if there is a luggage storage at Otopeni airport , and if so how much it costs/day? We need to store bags for a day (probably 8-9 hours), and we will pick them up when we fly to Baia Mare. Does anyone have any other advice for where we can store a bag for that long? Thanks for your help!
Are there any outlet shops in romania? Outlet means cheaper then normal price.
I've been trying to figure out what short direct flights I can find out of Romania. I fly there every six months and I usually make an extra trip out of my layover.
One year I flew into Iasi, and I had a stop over in Vienna. But as far as I know, flying out of Iasi my only options are pretty much Iasi-Vienna with Austrian Airlines or Iasi-Bucharest with Tamron.
Likewise, flying out of Bucharest, a few good options I see. I did Istanbul one year, it's a nice ~1.5-hr flight from Bucharest. I see Athens is another nice short international flight. This would make for a nice quick stop in Greece.
Any other ones you'd recommend?
We recently visited Bucharest and near the University area, near InterContinental Hotel, we saw a red/white bldg - lovely. No signs, just fence. Could someone identify it please? I have scoured bldg sites, maps, travel books, and can't find it - or am missing it. I took photo but can't seem to find a way to post or ask specific people.
Is there international railway travel from Bucharest to either Cisinau (Moldova) or Belgrade (Serbia), If so can you give me some information,Thanx,Chris
I've already asked somewhere, in here I think, for a mic place not too far from gara de nord, and was told to go straight outside of the station and turn left, which is obviously Matache.
Now I wanted to nail precicely where it is, we've only 2 hours, and thats assuming the train in from Budapest is spot on.
All I can find so far is this, which is not very promising
that's actually the same as this
http://www.panoramio.com/photo/53040266, which at least doesnt have conrete re-enforcing mesh blocking the entrance.
If I see this, will I be near ?
Please yours recomendation for a onest rent a car company in Bucharest.
We are planning a day trip from Constanta to Bucharest and have a few questions.
1. Does the IC or IR train between Constanta and Bucharest run on-time? I read sometimes it can delay for 2-3 hours, is it still an issue now?
2. Are the buses (from GSM Tran, or SIMPA TRANS companies) between Constanta and Bucharest runs on time? Are they in good condition?
3. Where can we buy metro day pass in Gara de Nord in Bucharest? Can we buy with a credit card?
4. Are there stray dogs in main tourist areas in Bucharest?
Thanks in advance for your help!
I will be visiting Bucharest at the beginning of September and I would really appreciate some advice on the best spots for a foodie around the city. What should I avoid and what shouldn't I miss?
Is it a safe city?I have heard that are a lot of gypsy gangs who are stealing and stray dogs.I will be travelling alone.

I'm interested in getting from Iasi to Bucharest and the airport is soon-to-close for a few weeks. I've been told the train is a good option and I could do an overnight train.
Do you get a bed or a reclinable seat? How comfortable is it to sleep? Do you get your own compartment? Where can I buy it? Thanks!
I'm flying to Bucharest this week from the UK to watch the Europa league final between Atletico Madrid and Athletic Bilbao.
My return flight leaves Otopeni airport at 6:00am on Thursday morning so by the time the game finishes at midnight I will look to head back to the airport.
Does anyone know if there are night buses running through the night and if so where do they depart from.
