Driving and touring time in Bryce Canyon

by JanetLC Online Now Feb 25, 2009 at 5:13 PM

Mapquest shows driving time from Las Vegas to Bryce Canyon as 4 1/2 hours. Is this acccurate? How long does it take to drive to all 13 viewing points within the park, stopping for 10 minutes at each point?

The park is fairly small. You can get through it in 3 hours.

Some of the viewpoints will only take 10 min, but others might take longer. I hope you plan at least a short hike below the rim though. The one I always recommend is the Navaho Loop at Sunset point. If you have longer combine that with the Queens Garden loop. Be sure to walk along the rim between Sunset and Sunrise points. They really are the heart of the park.
3- 4 hours should be minimum.
