Hello there, I´m going to Brussels from the 18th to 22nd of July and i read that the national day is the 21st of July and i would like to know what does to celebrate that day in Brussels.
That depends on the weather. If the weather is good the inhabitants of Brussels celebrate 21st of July by leaving the city en masse and heading for the coast. Those that still care about the country (all three of them) might throw some sort of military parade that is indistinguishable from such parades elsewhere.

I haven't seen the programme for this year yet, but: Firstly, it's a public holiday so shops will be closed and public transport running Sunday service. Secondly, military parade in front of invited guests (not general public) in front of the Royal Palace, with flypast by Air Force planes and helicopters, which follow the line of the Avenue de Tervueren, passing over the Cinquantenaire Park and rue Belliard/de la Loi. Thirdly, in the afternoon, all sorts of goings on in the Parc de Bruxelles (between the Royal Palace and the Federal Parliament), in nearby Place Royale, and in rue du Régent between there and the Sablon. These range from processions of stilt-walkers, bands, folk dancers etc. to demonstrations and kids' activities (e.g. hitting a target with jet from a firehose) by firemen, police dogs, the army etc. Lots of people walking around wearing silly hats in red, yellow and black, and eating and drinking stuff from various stands and vans. Fourthly, evening (pop) concert in the Parc de Bruxelles and possibly others at other venues e.g. Grand' Place. Finally, fireworks around 23:30, also from the Parc de Bruxelles.
