It must not necessary be a very basic accomodation, but we have no problem with a very basic accomodation. Please dont ask me which plases we want to visit,we dont know jet, but we for sure will hire a cat, therefore it should not be a small island

Trip Suggestions/tips for the following itinerary will be much appreciated:
A)18/01/2014,Saturday arriving at Labuan, Malaysia airport at 11-30AM. Take ferry from Labuan international ferry terminal to Muara ferry terminal at Brunei. Take public bus from Muara ferry terminal at Brunei to head-off to Bandar Seri Begawan. Bandar Seri Begawan city sightseeing but not sure what to do/see during the late afternoon/evening time, staying overnight at Bandar Seri Begawan decided on which hostel/homestay/budget accommodation. Emailed to Pusat Belia Hostel but no response(no hotel stay planned as city hotels are too expensive) yet: suggestions welcome
B) 19/01/2014, Sunday: Brunei sightseeing. Don’t prefer to see museum; so at this stage not planning to visit Brunei Museum ,Malay Technology Museum.
At this stage planning to visit the followings but fine to add/delete attractions based on your suggestions.

Read that boat ride from the city marina is interesting but not sure what to see/prices etc.
- Jame'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque
- Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque
- Dermaga Di Raja Bandar Seri Begawan
- Yayasan Shopping Complex
Staying overnight at Bandar Seri Begawan decided on which hostel/homestay/budget accommodation.
C)20/01/2014 Monday: Will have to travel to from Bandar Seri Begawan to Kota Kinabalu. There are 2 options but would prefer to take bus instead of ferry. The issue here is if I miss the early morning bus, what are the options to recover & reach Kota Kinabalu by the end of the day.
Not sure what to do/see during the evening time. Suggestion on hostel/homestay/budget accommodation at Kota Kinabalu city center is welcome. Kota Kinabalu
D) 21/01/2014 Tuesday: Kota Kinabalu city, nearby attractions/sightseeing. Flight departing from Kota Kinabalu airport.
Thanks for your suggestions/tips.

For my work I have to stay in Brunei for 4 weeks. Its my first trip to this country and I have a question. Is it allowed to bring my E-cigaret and the liquids to re fill it with me? I would like to know if customs in Brunai airport allow such item to enter Brunei. If they do...how much liquid is allowed to refill?
Thanks in advance for the answer!
Just wondering if anyone could help please. Plan to get a carton of cigarettes to buy in Australia, we are then immediately transiting to Bangkok. Will I have them confiscated in Brunei? I don't plan to stay there at all, just transit. I don't seem to be able to find an answer anywhere on transit rules for cigarettes. Thank you.
Anyone intending to stay at Pusat Belia @Youth Centre Hostel?
Please note that the hostel is closed to the public until 31 Dec 2013 due to athletes use.
It is the cheapest accommodation for visitors to Brunei at B$10/night.

We have rented a car in Sarawak and are driving to Sabah, but this morning when we collected it we were told the insurance is not valid for Brunei! Does anyone know any car insurance companies in Brunei so we can try to arrange cover independently? Thanks very much.
I am travelling to Brunei 27th June and departing 13th July. My confirmed plans at this stage are arrival in BSB afternoon on 27th, look around BSB 27th and 28th, travel to Miri 29th, fly to Mulu 30th, return to Miri 6th. This leaves me with a week. Does anyone have any suggestions for things to do - either independently (preferable) or through a company in Brunei for this week. Relatively modest budget, single traveller and tour companies are expensive compared to other areas of Asia I have visited?
My alternatives are stay in the Miri area for a few more days and visit Lambir Hills and Niah national parks (although after 5 days in Mulu, I may be feeling like doing something different) and then just three days in Brunei before departure or the full week in Brunei.
Secondly, does anyone know of any places for snorkelling (or possibly diving) in the region.
Finally, tips for transport from Brunei (BSB) to Miri.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
wondering if any in this group is willing to join to create a small group, on April 10, leaving from airport at around 10.30/11, whole day tour, back in the late evening.
Is lepicol or agiolax available in Brunei
In the coming days i will have a stop over in Brunei and i have heard conflicting reports regarding tours offered to transit passengers. I believe that the tours arranged at the transit lounge are either free, ( for a limited number of customers) or you have to pay for them. I believe the tour are organised by air brunei. Can anyone shed light on this?
We might move to Bandar Seri Begawan in 2013 & I would like to know if there are shops that sell art supplies like acrylic paints, canvas & specialised goods for artists?
Should I ship supplies in my container?
Are there import duties on art supplies shipped from abroad?
We are a couple going to Brunei as part of our visit to Borneo on Tuesday 28th for 16 days. We are landing in KL and fly out in 16 days.
We like outdoor activities, sight seeing, bars/restaurants, culture, trekking and beaches. We are both 30 and will spend aboutUS80 a day excluding accomadation.
Can anyone recommend an itinerary please for Brunei for 3 days. Where is the easiest point of entry into the country and how easy it is to cross the border for Visa. We are British citizens if it helps in relation to the question about the Visa (Visa on arrival).
Thank you in advance.
I am thinking of going to Brunei from 6th April till the 9th, is it enough time to stay in Brunei?
What kind of activities are available in Brunei? I am keen to play golf one of the days if possible.
and are you allowed to take in any alcohols? I know Brunei does not sell alcohols and seems like the hotel bars haven't got any on the menu either.
Is there a bus from BsB airport to the city center at 1am? I will be in brunei (budget trip) for 24 hours only and I don't wanna waste my energy waiting in the airport til sunrise.
