my daughter will be traveling from bklyn (park slope) to queens hospital center for work. want to avoid the JR parkway and the BQE. could she take local roads ie. eastern parkway etc.to get there? And finally can anyone suggest a good route? Every morning I hear that the BQE is backed up or something. not from bklyn or Queens so we are not real familiar with the area Thanks
eastern parkway ends at the brooklyn terminus of the JR. no help there. can't understand why you want to avoid the jr - bad, not awful, unless there is an accident. I drive the jr four days a week. the best of the terrible alternatives is atlantic avenue to the van wyck expressway service road and then north to the hospital.
