airports near brooklyn

by ladymd Online Now Oct 14, 2008 at 5:06 PM

Hi there. I'll be going to brooklyn from cincinnati. I was wondering what the nearest airport is and the best way to get to SUNY downstate hospital. Also, any recommendations for reasonable places to stay for a night or two? Thanks!

take the airtrain to the A train at howard beach and take the A train toward Manhattan Inwood etc. follow the crowds. go eight or nine stops to Liberty Avenue stop. here exit and catch the B12 bus towards Prospect. the bus eventually after many stops gets on to Clarkson Avenue and stops at the entrance to Kings County Hospital which is part of the Downstate complex. total travel time near 1.5 hrs most of it on the bus.
Note - you are not passing thru the best neighborhoods in NYC.
A taxi will take a lot less time, cost about30 plus tip.

Thanks! Guess I'll just take the taxi to avoid the hassle. :)
