    • Houses for backpackers for xmas and new year

      Sydney May 4, 2013 at 4:20 PM

Hi I'm travelling to Sydney in December and looking to find some accommodation pretty central for 3/4 weeks from 16th Dec. Wondering if anyone knows any relatively cheap housing suitable for backpackers for me and potentially a few fellow travellers I'm meeting over there. Many thanks

      Reasonably priced accommodation in Sydney

      Sydney May 18, 2013 at 3:05 PM

I am in the UK and hoping to visit Sydney in March 2014 for a month. What is the best way to book reasonably priced accommodation for this amount of time? I would be wanting at most a small apartment or at very least a bedroom with ensuite for just one person. I have seen sites with rooms in houses but with shared bathrooms which does not appeal to me.
This may sound daft but do I need a visa if I am just visiting for a month on holiday?
      Thanks for any advice
      Tamara

    • Return fligths from Sydney to London

      Sydney May 7, 2013 at 11:48 PM

Hi, I am planning to go to London in August this year. This will be my first flight to London and I have never done such a long fligth before. Could you please suggest a good airline interms of good service, leg space, food and reasonable price? I prefer one stopover. I am looking at a few options i.e. Etihad, Cathay, British, Emirates. Please share your experience to help me decide which airline to fly.
      Thanks heaps in advance.

advice about driving route from Newcastle NSW to Broken Hill

by kakapo Online Now Apr 21, 2012 at 12:38 AM

I have to drive from Newcastle to Broken Hill. I know it is more than 1000km and I am assuming it will be at least a 12 hour trip, so I will stop overnight half way. Can anyone tell me the best route - should I go through Sydney or up into the Hunter Valley and across to Dubbo? WOuld Dubbo be the best place to stop for the night? And are there many places between Dubbo and Broken Hill to take a break (food, petrol, toilet etc)? If anyone knows the current price of petrol in Dubbo and / or Broken Hill that would be handy as well. Thanks.

    • Mungo National Park from Broken Hill

by janettelo Online Now Jun 22, 2008 at 8:21 AM

Hi, I'm planning to visit the Mungo National Park by public transportation in August. Just wondering if there's any coach or day tour (or less than 3 days tour) going there, I only have a small budget and not expecting to spend more than300AUD, is it possible? In fact, I did some research and found that Mildura is closest to the park but the time took to get there from Sydney is much longer than to Broken Hill. Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks, Janette from Hong Kong

Caravan Park, photo opportunities and road conditions

by Bfula Online Now Jun 18, 2008 at 6:07 AM

Hi all, my wife and I will be travelling to Broken Hill in early July this year. We have a camper trailer and will be looking for a caravan park to stay in for a few days. Would there be one that someone could recommend? Also we are heavily into photography and wish to take plenty of pics. We are thinking the Sculptures at sunrise and Silverton - are there any other 'not to miss' photo opportunities? If I may ask a little more; we will be travelling from Broken Hill to Menindee and then onto Mungo National Park - is the road from Menindee to Pooncarie suitable for a 2WD with camper trailer? Thanks so much in advance, Bill

We are planning to drive from Sydney to Melbourne Via Broken Hill in January 2004, where should we look to get information on routes and accommodation. Has anyone done this trip either staying in hotels or hiring a camper van and does anyone know where the best place to get info on camper vans and the pitfalls and obviously one way hire. We are new to this game and have no idea where to start. Any help greatly appreciated
