is there any where to snowboard or ski near brno,with in an hours drive.looking to go in feb,it doesent have to be up to alps standards,just something good enough for a few begineres
Hi, there is few slopes within an hour driving from Brno, obviously not very long... usually about 300m, but good enough if you are beginners. In Nemcicky (near Breclav - 60km from Brno down to south)is 250m long ski slope, in Velke Mezirici (50 km on motorway from Brno - via Prague) is 300m long slope called Fajtuv kopec. Then there are some slopes in Nedvedice (40km from Brno via Svitavy)- 420m and 250m long. Hopefully there will be some snow, in February usually is but you know how the winter is this year. It is OK if outside temperature is slightly below zero, they can produce artificial snow then...
