Hey team - wow been a while since I've signed in! Coming to Brisbane for my birthday...23 June is Eagle Farms Stradbroke Cup??? Is it worth heading to the races? And where should I stay in Brisbane at around200 per night? Last question - heading to Byron for Sunday. What's my best option to get there? Thanks in advance for your help. Mike
Hi, you can take a Greyhound bus from Brisbane to Byron Bay, the journey takes about three and a half hours and costs about30 - you can see the exact prices if you enter your dates on their website: www.greyhound.com.au

for that money I'd recommend the Novotel or Royal on the Park. Both are on the fringes of the city ,respectively in Spring Hill or near the Botanical Gardens. I,d rent a car and drive. from the city, no more than two and a half hours. From Byron I'd take the coast road through Lennox Head to Ballina and return up the highway.
