Hi all,

I'd appreciate any advice on where to watch the final of the Eurovision song contest tomorrow evening (18th May). Are there any places (eg. cafe, sports bar, restaurant) in Potsdam which will be showing this event? We are visiting Potsdam this weekend and would love to get a glimpse of this year's final but the accommodation we'll be staying at doesn't have a TV... Any advice would be much appreciated!

Hello, please can someone advise if it is possible to take a train from Gorlitz, Germany to Lesna or Luban in Poland. I am travelling to a friends wedding at castle Czocha, Lesna. I plan to fly to Dresden, stay two nights, then take the train to Gorlitz. I am happy to take a taxi for the remaining journey, but would prefer train. Amy help / advice wouldnt greatly appreciated.

Hi, before taking the decision to rent this apartmenrt i would be very much interested if anyone knowing well this area of Berlin can inform me if it is easy to park in this street ( from Google map I saw a lot of cars parked) and if in the street or very nearby there is some bakery shop and food market. I would also appreciate to get your opinion on the general value of this street and area. Thank you.

How do I TRAVEL TORheinbischofsheim FROM FRANKFURT?

Just returned from Germany, and would like to say how very helpful German rail ticket office workers are. The first sold me a regional day ticket from Schwerin to Szczecin Poland saving loads. The second i needed to use 3 trains from Luneburg to Brussells, he suggested i bought a Bahn card saving 25%. Now my question is , the date on the bahn card is June , do this mean i can use again ?

This is the plan for the end of October this year. Is there any "must do" or "off the beaten path" things to do along the way? We will return to Frankfurt from Prague and we will have two weeks. I will be vacationing in Heidelberg just for 3 days. Would taking a bus from the city to Baden Baden be the most economical versus a train and how long a trip? I dont' seem to be able to find any information on buses that travel there. Appreciate any information you might have.

Looking for any English speaking people to camp with at Wacken. I am travelling by myself and this will be my second time to Wacken so I know my way around. I am a friendly 26 year old Australian Male.

I would be grateful if anyone could tell me if there is any free on street parking near "Johannisallee" as we are planning to visit a friend in that area. I just want to be prepared for our visit as it is our 1st time in the city with a car. I also don't mind a bit of walk if necessary.

We will be in Munich between Christmas and New Year's. Our rented apartment is near the corner of Prinzregentenstrasse and Ismaninger Strasse. Can anyone recommend places near there for food, particularly breakfasts and dinners? I'd like to go with a few close-by recommendations for any days we need something closer to "home." Can somebody explain how I can get from Munich to Memmingen airport? I found the last train from Munich at 11PM and it arrives to Memmingen train station at about 1AM. But nobody seem to know how to get to the airport from the train station at night.
Is there a bus from Munich to Memmingen airport? How far is the train station from the airport?

My wife and I and 2 daughters are traveling for 3 weeks in Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Austria. Flying into Dusseldorf then driving in a big circle. roughly Frieburg, Interlaken, Lake Como, Venice, Innsbruck and Rothenburg. We are staying mostly in apartments from 2-4 days each location partly depending on what there is to see and partly the driving time between stops. We plan to cook what we can to eat, partly to save money and partly because we are Vegan/Vegetarian and it is always difficult to find good stuff.

So... My question(s) are:

1. Can we find an inexpensive Styrofoam ice chest somewhere and where should we look. This is to transport food between stops. Something we can toss when we leave. Yeah yeah. We are not political vegans.

2. I have been researching health food stores but would love any ideas for national chains to check. We would want to purchase things like almond milk, legumes (dry), oats,dried fruits, etc. Organic is always preferable.

3. Also any worthwhile/must see Vegetarian/Vegan restaurants in those areas. We may eat one meal out a day, then again we may not.
