I will be traveling from Bremen to Frankfurt and I was wondering what would be the cheapest way to get there. Train fares are really expensive. Maybe there is some discount tickets for students or there is a bus connection between these cities?
You can get train tickets from EUR 29 if booked well in advance (max 92 days). reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/qu...

If you want to go cheap, get the Schönes Wochenende Karte or "Beautiful Weekend Ticket". It's 37 Euros for a ticket which covers 5 people. The only caveats are that you have to use it on the Saturday or Sunday and you can't take the fast trains (ICE) To find the times and routes this is valid, use the website from the above poster, but select "only local traffic".

No. You can use one of the discounted specials for the trains offered by DB - if still available. You can also try to select as means of transport "All without ICE" and "only local transport". Ride sharing is also an option. Probably the cheapest. http://www.mitfahrzentrale.de/ http://www.mitfahrgelegenheit.de/

If you are able to get to Hamburg or Hanover for little money (car sharing, student semester ticket, etc.), then you can make use of the night bus from those two cities to Frankfurt. touring.de/index.php?id=14&L... If you buy the tickets more or less a month in advance, you might get the cheapest fare of 9 euro or the next ones for 19 and 29. However, if you have this much time to make advance bookings, you'd better go for the train tickets of 29 euro. Certainly, the train is faster and more comfortable.
