I'll be moving to Breda in 3 weeks and can't help but notice how expensive the trains are. When I was in Breda last week (finding an apartment) I was delighted to find a Connexxion bus to Antwerp for 11 euros -- much cheaper and faster than taking the train. Does anyone know of a similar bus service to Schiphol or any major Dutch cities? And where do all those Eurolines buses go?
Eurolines runs coach services to other European countries, e.g. Antwerp and Brussels in Belgium: webapp.eurolines.nl/euroline... Connexxion is a Dutch bus company running buses within the Netherlands, as well as airport shuttles, see connexxion.nl/website/subpag... You might also want to look at their interliner service connexxion.nl/website/subpag...

The Eurolines busses provide relative cheap transportation to locations outside the Netherlands. Inside the Netherlands several bus companies serve different parts of the country, mostly from major trains stations to destinations within one province and some local city lines. Beside this there are Interliner and Qliner busses connecting some major cities (like Breda to Utrecht with Interliner 401). Check out the Dutch website for pubic transportation in the Netherlands: http://www.9292ov.nl/9292ov1.asp Select: "Uitgebreid" and you can only enable bus, Interliner and Qliner way of transportation for your search. At prijs (+) you get the ticket price details. Check out: vbn-bv.nl/ovinfo/algemeen_en... for general ticket information. Breda to Schiphol can be done in 3 hours by bus (change 2 or 3 times) and costs Euro 14.10 single fare. Train single fare is Euro 16,40 with 2 hours traveltime. PJ
