I am an American considering moving to Brasilia. I'm an avid road bicyclist and play saxophones in a big band. I was wondering if there are any bike clubs and if the roads are good for cycling. Also wondering what opportunities there are for playing music. Thank you for any help, Melvyn Garcia
I wouldn't recommend bicycling here. Roads aren't bicycle friendly, and many drivers are horrible, driving like complete selfish idiots. One family we knew here in Brasilia had a teen daughter killed whiled she was bicycling. But what do you expect of a country where people think it's normal to have a baby via major abdominal surgery? I fear for the U.S. as the c-section rate there continues to climb, too. People born via violence are going to think violence is normal.
