No. . . it's a very nice place for coach tours, for retirees who wonder whatever happened to Andy Williams, and for people who love dinner theater. Branson appeals to a lot of people, though not to everyone.

Depends on your definition of "bad". It's a family orientated place, and gets pretty jammed packed during the summers. I worked there one summer, so I've had enough but it's alright. There are tons of music theaters - so if you like all sorts of music (tho mainly country or "easy") it's got a lot to offer. The fishing is fantastic (Tablerock Lake). Water skiing is good too. TJ

The traffic is terrible. The scenery just outside of Branson is tremendous. The theme parks are fun (especially for kids). The shows are very good and there is a large selection (not only for senior citizens). Did I mention that the traffic is terrible?

My family really enjoys Branson. We like to spend time on the lake, my kids enjoy all 3 amusement parks , go-carts, mini golf (all the typical tourist things) For people who like shopping and going to music and comedy, magic etc. shows there are plenty. There are good local places to eat plus most of the usual chains. There's something for almost everyone. I don't know why people sometimes snicker or make fun of going to Branson.

Well, I guess it depends on what you're looking for. Branson is a hokey, clean, family oriented town. It makes pains not to offend the elderly and people with small children because those are the two primary crowds it attracks. It's shows often cater to Christian oriented or patriotic themes. If you're looking for nightlife, Branson is not the place to go. If you like outlet shopping, amusement parks, music shows, and nature, Branson is an excellent place to visit. The traffic on Hwy 76 (aka The Strip) is very bad. Lucky, you don't have to drive on the Strip. There are side roads that will take you virtually anywhere you need to go with minimal driving on the strip. Pick up a map, or if you are stuck in traffic just try turning off onto one of the many side roads. Most side roads eventually lead back to the Strip.

no Branson is an awesome place to vacation no matter the age or what you are wanting to do! There are tons of shows plus amusement parks, go carts, lakes, pretty much anything you could want to do. I found a great free guide that really helped me plan my trip - it's bransontourisminformation.co...
