    • Cheapest Disneyland Paris Tickets Online

      Paris Yesterday

I will be visiting Disneyland Paris on 2nd May, 2016 (Monday); with my wife and 6 month baby. Entry for baby will be free.

I have to purchase 1 Day/1 Park tickets for MAGIC category. (Disneyland Park)
I have checked all FNAC, francilien, Idf-france, AttractionTix Ticketmaster/fr websites , and the official Disneyland website and I'm finding the ticket cost per adult to be 59 Euros. Some of the sites do not offer 1 Day/1 Park tickets; as most of them provide 1 Day/2 Parks tickets.

Please let me know if the tickets will get cheaper in coming months or not. Its still 6 months when we travel. What is the ideal time I should book the tickets online and print them? Can anyone tell us what will be the best time to book the tickets online? Should we book the Disney tickets now or later? Which month will be the best to book the tickets? Does anyone know any good deals, discounts or websites which offer this ticket for cheaper prices?Any other websites from where I can buy the tickets at a cheap and lowest cost??

Local "Gewürztraminer" more acidy and more expensive than in Rh-Pfalz?

      Alsace Sep 24, 2015 at 10:57 PM

Tried several. In France all were bought at LeClerc + Auchan + Norma + Aldi.
In Germany from a local farm.

Not sure why, but my Alsatian wine experiments weren't as successful as "farm experiments" in Germany.
Maybe because I should compare apples with apples and not with (sour) grape?

I.e. buy the wine from a farm?

Had a similar experiment few month ago in Hungary (Auchan Hungary wine versus farmer).
It was a day and night difference.

From CDG to Saint-Michel Notre-Dame taking the Taxi or the RER train & questions.

      Paris Sep 16, 2015 at 10:42 AM

There will be 4 of us arriving at CDG airport and traveling to a hotel near the Metro, Saint-Michel. Using a taxi as compared to the RER train, what would you recommend? Comparing convenience, cost, time and anything else? Also, when I look at a map it seems that the Saint-Michel Notre-Dame RER station is a different than the Metro Saint-Michel which is walking distance from our hotel. According to the map the RER station is a bit longer walk or are the really the same underground? We would be arriving mid day. Thank you.

      transfer time needed

      Paris Sep 28, 2015 at 3:12 PM

      Hi all

We're looking into flying to South Africa.
We have found a very favorable price flying from Düsseldorf to Paris CDG.
The transfer time is 1h35 minutes.
Do you think this will be enough to go through the necessary checks and still be on time for our connection to Johannesburg?
Since the tickets has departure Dssd and destination Jnb and this transfer time is what KLM calculates, I guess this should be enough?
Never been to CDG yet, so I don't have a clue how chaotic or organised things are around there ...

      Thanks for your input!

      Paris Oct 4, 2015 at 11:18 PM

I will be visiting Paris next year for 3 days and will be staying at Nanterre (near the RER station Nanterre Prefecture-Zone 3). I will be making around 10-12 trips during my stay in and around centre of Paris and will also be going to Disneyland and Bateaux Parisiens river cruise (4 Euro discount with Paris Visite card). Please let me know if the Paris Visite card for 3 days, Zone 1-3 (for 26 Euros per person), will be cost effective or not. Or should I go for carnet of 10 t+ tickets for 14 Euros.? I will have to commute through RER A for most trips to Paris centre, & I believe the t+ tickets are valid only for RER on Zone 1 and not on Zone 3.

Wine tour and tasting in Beaune

      Beaune May 30, 2015 at 5:41 PM

It appears Beaune has no scarcity in producers offering wine tours and tasting. There is Louis Jadot, Joseph Drouhin, Bouchard, Patriarche and then also Marche aux Vins, to name a few. They all offer tours from about €11-€38, tasting 4-13 wines varying from village to grand cru in quality. Some are by appointment only, others are walk-in.
I know Gwened tips Jadot, Bouchard and Patriarche.
If I had to choose one, which would give me the best opportunity to savor a cross-section of Burgundy wines (both Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, village to grand cru) in the most delightful setting?
Does anyone have any experience of a matching wine degustation menu within a cellar?
Thanks in advance for the feedback!

      Getting to Flavigny

      Flavigny-sur-Ozerain Feb 19, 2015 at 3:39 PM

Hello there! My son and I will be in France soon and we would like to go to flavigny. We can get to Dijon from Paris by train and from there, go to Flavigny. I was looking for tours(we love tours...more than exploring on our own) and found a half day from Dijon to Flavigny(and other villages around it) by FRANCE.COM. Never heard about "" tours and was wondering if anyone knows about them...or any other tour company(tours to Flavigny and surroundings). The other option is to rent a car...we go to France very often, but never did rent a car. I am not that carefree and always super afraid of getting lost, road condition, traffic, crazy drivers, how to find a gas station, etc. If anyone knows about roads and how simple is to drive(probably it is) from Dijon to Flavigny, please let me know. Thanks!!!!

      Combining wine tasting with accommodation

      Beaune Feb 8, 2015 at 8:46 PM

Was wondering if anyone has good tips on vineyard hotels in or near Beaune? We only have one overnight there and would like to maximize our wine tasting opportunities. Would it be better to stay in a cozy hotel in Beaune and go for a town-based wine-tasting (perhaps paired with dinner) or would it be best to stay at a vineyard and experience the wine there?
Any recommendations would be highly appreciated! Thanks.

      Barging in Burgundy

      Bourgogne Jan 31, 2015 at 7:48 AM

      Dear Friends,

I hope you are all doing well! I have a question regarding barging in Burgundy. I am planning to spend a week or two this summer barging with wife and baby along with 2 sets of grandparents. I am reasonably early in the process, but have had some advice which suggests starting at Joigny and self piloting (grandparent is an experienced boater) a penichette boat.
      Current options might be:

      1. Joigny round trip. Yonne and Canal Nivernais?
      2. Joigny to Montbard via Canal du Bourgogne

I wonder if people have any advice on this idea. Is Joigny a good place to start? Are these Canals nice? with good spots to stop off and enjoy a stroll, food, sites?

Any other suggestions? As it's summer I'd like to avoid the most trafficked spots (I think Canal du Midi)

Is there anything else I should know? Or any good resources or companies?

Many thanks! It's nice to be around again...

      Best Wishes,

I am currently thinking of going to Taize for 2 weeks by myself. However, I wonder the following:
      1. Is it a good idea to Taize by yourself? (i.e. not in a group?) Is it to join other people in workshops, talks, meetings?
      2. Is it possible to during 28/12/2014 to 11/01/2015? On the online registration page, it says there are meetings all year, except from 25/12 until 06/01. What does this mean? Is Taize closed then?

      Thank you very much!!!!!
And Merry Christmas to you all!

      Vineyard accommodation

      Bourgogne Nov 30, 2014 at 10:59 PM

Despite researching the subject, both on VT and the web, I'm struggling to get a clear picture of accommodation at a vineyard in Bourgogne. I'll only be there overnight, so I'd prefer to combine my accommodation and wine tasting. Preferably something close enough to Beaune to go wandering around the illuminated buildings in the evening, but will be perfectly happy staying at a scenic nearby village such as Meursalt or Pommard, or even north of Beaune.
Anyone with wonderful experiences at such a place?
Advice would be highly appreciated! Thanks.
