Hi folks! We'll be traveling to France in May 2013 and will have 5 days in Beaune. We'll be traveling around by train and I was hoping for some hints from people on places to visit around the area. We'd also like to find a guide or tour that can take us to a couple vineyards. Anyone have any ideas? Can you recommend a guide or tour group? Many thanks.. Tom

We spent 5 days in Beaune last June and loved it. We picked up a hire car in Dijon where we had arrived on the TGV and then an easy drive to our apartment in Beaune. One activity that I would fully recommend is a wine tasting in one of the big wine houses of Burgundy. We went to Caves Patrtiache. There are millions of bottle of wines stored in underground cellars that run beneath the streets of Beaune. We also hired bicycles for the day to ride to villages nearby through the vineyards. Easy to find hire places in Beaune for this.
