Traveling 3/14-3/18

by acfields123 Online Now Mar 7, 2013 at 10:27 AM

I'm traveling to South Boston and will be there over St. Patty's weekend. I was there last year and spent the day at the Acquarium but I'm looking for things to do on Thurs (3/14) and Friday (3/15) inparticular, any suggestions? I will have a car and can do some traveling but didn't want to drive a whole lot since I'm not to familiar with the area. Any suggestions or ideas would be great!!

I've not been back "home" in many years but I never tired of wandering the Freedom Trail and investigating the historical venues it offers.

Since it'e St' Pat's weekend you should definitely find a good irish pub and enjoy some time there. If it's still in business The Black Rose near Faneuil Hall was always great.

The Kennedy Museum right between South Boston (Southie) and Dorchester is wonderful to visit and bring a lunch - along with visiting famous Philips candy house right near by.

additionally - about another 30 - 45 minutes drive down rte 93 south you can go to plymouth and see plymouth rock
