My husband and I are going to Bosnia for 3 days. We plan to travel to Mostar, Kravica fall, Sarajevo and Jajce. However, we searched on the internet and found that there are a lot of beautiful photos on some lake and river (e.g. una river) with uncommon green. My husband is a photographer and would like very much to take photos at the most beautiful spot. However, we can't tell from some of the photos where are they taken. Can anyone advise us which place we should go? We will rent a car to drive from and back to Dubrovnik. Thank for anyone's information in advance.
Hi, we would like to stay for a few days somewhere around Visoko - specially to see "pyramid of the sun" and Tunnel Ravne. Is there any camping site (for car and 3 tents), with water and toilet? Hotels are too expensive for us :-( Thanks for any info :-) Dusan, Czech Rep.
Hi I am travelling to Istanbul in August and want to go to Sarajevo by bus or train. How long would you say it takes to travel from Istanbul to Sarajevo by bus? or train? How much would it cost? and is it safe?
I am a Chinese national and have a Schegen visa to travel in the Schegen countries. As my visa is for multi/entry use, I can enter Croatia. I also wish to travel to Bosnia. Is it possible for me to apply the visa in Zagreb? I have written to the email address of the consuClate of Bosnia in Zagreb, but no one answered. Does Bosnia adopt policy that holder of Schegen visa can enter into Bosnia? Your comment and advice is appreciated in advance.
Hi all, WOuld like to know if it is convenient to withdrawal cash around Bosnia via ATM with a foreign bank account? My card can withdraw cash with PLUS function, any idea of the daily limit per withdrawl, thanks!
Helo, Simple question, If I want to go in Visoko for more than 2 weeks, where can I find a sleep cheaper than the hotel? Is there something like a camping or something like that? Thank you very much for your information. Best regards.

Hi! I'll be visiting Italy next July with my wife, and we would like to visit Medugorje from there. Could anyone tell us if is it avaliable to get by ferry (ancona to split) and from split to medugorje by bus?? Could you give us details??
Dear fellow travellers, I am planning to bring my mother to visit the pilgrim site of Medjugorje in August this year. However, she has problem to walk too much. I read that there is a walk of 20 minutes required to reach the St. James church. Is it difficult walk (eg. going up the hill, non-paved ways, etc). Is there a way to avoid the walk and take shuttle bus to the church? Thanks in advance for the feedback
Hello all I was looking at some stuff on the net and found some pics posted of some military vehicles on display in BiH. The albums were called 'Muzej Kozare' and 'Muzej Manjaca' but i have no way of contacting the poster. These military displays look like they may be attached to army barracks. I think they are both near Banja Luka but not 100% on this. I've posted a link below which may help s106.photobucket.com/albums/... Does anyone know anything about these museums? I'd like to visit them myself if possible when i am in the area next year Hope you guys can help, would be great! DG
Hello all and merry xmas I'm thinkin about gettin a train from northern Bosnia to Austria as per the cities named above. Is this possible? I've tried using www.bahn.de but it doesnt seem to recognise BL as a city ,as good a website as it is. Any tips on whether this route is possible? Considering the website didnt recognise BL, it did recognise Zagreb, and the journey to Salzb. isn't too long from there Thanks everyone! DG

Hello all I'm planning to visit B&H in 2012 for the second time in my life but this time i want to expand on the places i visit. Naturally, i was only in Sarajevo when i was last in the country 5 years ago. But i will be visiting the city again, without a doubt. Can anyone tell me some other 'must see' towns and cities? I'm planning to visit Mostar and Banja Luka. Maybe Zenica and Srebrenica. But i'm sure there are so many more hidden gems. I really like castles, fortresses and military history so if anyone can recommend places with connections to these i would be most grateful. I'm hoping to give myself about a week to 10 days in the country. Not much time i know, but i might yet need to compress that timetable more. Daytrips are another option i guess Many thanks to you all in advance! :) DG
We would appreciate any information on the train from Sarajevo to Mostar, how many trains per day ? time of day they leave, how long is the trip and approximate cost. We will be travelling in early May 2012, thank you

Hi All :) I'm going to be in Sarajevo on Sunday 9 October, travelling from Dubrovnik. Would that be a bad day to be there? Ideally I would love to have a drink and experience some nightlife with the locals, but it seems a lot of places are closed on a Sunday. Should I stay the night at all or should I move onto Novi Sad (I think there's an overnight bus from Lukavica stop) on the same day, if nothing is going on on a Sunday evening? Your input will be much appreciated! :) J
2October2011 Greetings. I am staying in BiH and will have to travel to Sarajevo and then to the Lukavica bus station. I could arrive at the Sarajevo main bus/train station or at Ilidza in Sarajevo. I will have a ton of luggage. I would like to find out how to go directly from either arrival point to the Lukavica bus station. The trolley buses 103/107 don't leave from near the main station as far as I can tell. I have no idea what the stops for bus 31E are. Bus 37 goes runs between Grbavica – Lukavica - Ilidža but I do not know if it stops near the Lukavica bus staion. It would be great if I could find out for sure how to go to the Lukavica bus station with all my luggage ...
Starting from Skopje Masedonia i am traveling through Kosovo Serbia Montenegro and Bosnia Can any one help with advice best travel [Bus/Train] is there still a problem traveling from Kosovo to Serbia I arrive in Skopje on Sunday 25th September. Many Thanks, Patrick
Hi.How can I visit Kravica falls from Mostar, how far is it and how much should this trip cost.. I'm travelling solo Thanks in advance :)
Hi everyone. I am in the very early stages of planning approx 10 days travel in BiH next year and hope someone might be able to help with the following basic questions : 1 I have read that the Zagreb to Sarajevo night train doesn't have sleeping compartments? Surely not!? 2 If I don't travel to Sarajevo from Zagreb I will make the journey from Dubrovnik via Trebinje. The road north from Trebinje toward Gacko looks very scenic. Can anyone recommend places to visit/stay on this route? I will be visiting Mostar after I have been to Sarajevo. 3 Jajce? Is it worth a visit? Many thanks all.
In late September I am taking a car trip from Sarajevo-Banja Luka-Vukovar-Tuzla-Visegrad-Sarajevo. Will I find lodging in those places? Do the "Zimmer Freis" exist in Bosnia as in other Balkan countries? If there is lodging I would appreciate some suggestions, but mainly I need to know if I'll find a place to sleep in the cities outside of Sarajevo and Mostar and B.Luka. Thanks.
Hi! Does anyone know if there is one bus, train, etc. connecting Mostar to Split?? Thanks a lot! Pedro.
Does anyone know if there are any buses from Banja Luka to Mostar. If so, how frequent are they and how long is the bus trip? Thanks :)
Hi, Im going in September and i cant wait! Possibly a silly question but I was just wondering if all the restaurants are halal or are there just a few? Is eating out much of a problem for those who eat halal food? And I was also wondering how much souvenirs are and just the price range of things for a student's budget! So how much could you get for a pound for example. (I live in London) Thanks in advance! :D
Are shorts appropriate street dress for males in Bosnia? I will be traveling to Sarajevo and other smaller villages in September, I know that Bosnia is largely Muslim, I don't want to offend the local customs, but I would like to be comfortable on warm days. Of course I would not enter a mosque in short pants, but I am wondering about more casual attire. Thanks for any advice.
Are short walking pants appropriate in Bosnia and Herzegovina? I am a retired male traveling to Sarajevo and other Bosnian towns in October, I understand the culture is largely Muslim, I don't want to offend the locals with short pants if they are not regularly seen on the streets.
