Is there any bus company works from Mostar to any part of Montenegro. Preffered ways are Bar, Budva or Kotor
What is the fare from Mostar to Sarajevo?
I know its best to use local currency, however we are just going on a short day trip from dubrovnik and are wondering if its common to use croatian currency in mostar? we are from the us, so we won't have euros with us. I know that any change we get might be in bosnian currency.
hello I would like to ask if there is a train from Belgrade to Banja Luka, and how I can get tickets online because I am from Greece and I want to come for my university practise
Hello, I would like to know how far is from Blagaj town centre to Derwish Monastery. Is it an easy walk?
Thank you,
I have a question about driving from Zabljak to Sarajevo. in Summer 2012 I drove the insanely circuitous route down from Zabljak via Pivsko Jizero (not for the faint of heart but one of the most extraordinary drives I've ever done). Then, we turned south towards Niksic and later Ostrog. My question regards the road from Pivsko Jizero towards Sarajevo. When I put those points in Google Maps they have me going way south through Trebinje and Mostar. What about the direct road, shown on Google as either E762 or M18? I suspect that they don't show this option because they don't recommend the road but, frankly, some of the roads they put me on last summer (Niksic to Ostrog? Yikes!) were truly, um, adventurous. My point is, what would a road in the Balkans have to be like to fall into the "not recommended" category? Anyway, is the road truly bad or is it just a Google glitch and the road is OK?
I would like to know a way to arrive in Mostar going of Lisbon, the better and cheaper way. Thank you.
To do this trip would there be busses only trains only or a mix of bus and train Great for advise on this,un
If you just 2 or 3 hours to visit medjugore, what would be on your list? I want to go to st James church and apparition hill--I thought the hill first, then church, is that a could order? Also how long does it take to climb apparition hill? Is it steep? We would be visiting medjugore in conjunction with a drive to mostar ( we want to spend the night in mostar) so logistically is it closer to see medjugore first and then go onto mostar or see medjugore when we leave mostar the next day to drive back to dubrovnik?
Just wondering, it seems as if Mostar is rather small, at night are there restaurants open? Also is there an area people stroll around a bit at night?
Can someone please tell me, whether the airport bus from the airport to the main train/bus station is available in winter and how much would a taxi cost to that location?
How widespread is the Latin alphabet in Banja Luka? Regards Jesper
Hi guys, I am planning a trip to Bosnia, Serbia and Montenegro this summer and wanted some advice on a possible itenary and any tips on transport, places to see and stay in the three countries. Basically I have about 7 days and want to see as much as possible. Novi Sad, Belgrade, Sarajevo, Mostar and Pristina are all on the list. Is this realistic? Cheers, Alex
I am a South African Citizen and I plan to drive from Croatia (Split side) to Croatia (Dubrovnik side) by car in September 2013 which is meant to be a drive through Bosnia & Herzegovina (transit), given that I will have a visa from Croatia at the time. Will this be possible without having a visa from Bosnia & Herzegovina as this drive will only take ten minutes?
I am awaiting the new rail timetable for next year, and I am bracing myself for the belgrade to sarajevo service to be dropped. If that's the case I'd still like to look at alternatives to just getting a direct bus. We could get the train to Užice and may be a bus or hire a mini bus from there. It might even be possible to do some of the Sargan 8 railway. Does anyone know about buses from Užice to Sarajevo or portions of that route.
what is household voltage, can i ( with adapter)use my laptop in sarajevo?
Hi Is it true that in addition to the twice daily train from Sarajevo to Mostar there is another newer train that departs at 8.05 am? If it does can anyone let me know what time this train gets into Mostar and what's the difference between tho train and the one that goes an hour earlier? Many thanks!!

Hi everyone. I wonder if anybody can help me with either bus or train timetables from Sarajevo to the following places.I'm finding it quite difficult to get information in English on the net, from websites etc. I am looking for bus or train timetables to/from Sarajevo to the following towns and cities; Sarajevo-Srebrenica, Sarajevo-Mostar,Sarajevo to Podgorica (Montenegro). Any information would be so much appreciated and thank you in advance :-))
Hi I've been searching all over the internet for detailed transport from Sarajevo to Budva without any luck. I know there isn't any train connecting the two cities. So i was wondering if any one could share the bus timetables including necessary connections, with all of us trying to figure out transports between the two cities. I'm going there during the last week of September if it makes any difference.
Hi Everyone We are thinking of renting a car here in Vienna and driving down to Bosnia next weekend (13th July). We're interested in visiting Sarajevo and Mostar and need to be back in Vienna by about 15h on Monday 16th. It's only 507Km to Sarajevo and then about 70 to Mostar. But we hear there are no highways in Bosnia so you're on winding country roads the whole time. So could anyone give us some idea of how long those two journeys should actually take? Also, what are the roads like? Pretty good, ok, pretty bad? Cheers! Robert
Hello all I tried contacting the youth hostel in Jajce via email but there has been no response. Does anyone know if they have since closed down? I'm trying to reserve a spot for August but i'm not sure if they are open during that time. On hostelworld.com, it is not possible to reserve after the end of July Thanks! DG
Hello all I've been doing some online research to try to find a particular museum in Republika Srpska but the internet (as usual) is giving me several contrasting answers :) Have a look at this link s106.photobucket.com/albums/... Ok, some sources say this is in Banja Luka. Some others say it is in Muzej Kozara in Prijedor, and another says it's in an army barracks 'somewhere'. Do any of you knowledgeable folk know where it is exactly?! An outside chance is that it is somewhere in National Park Kozara but I think this is unlikely Perhaps I should also post this in the Prijedor forum if it's relevant. Thank you all again DG
Hello, My husband and me will arrive at Split on July, Sunday 29th at 11 am. Unfortunately we are missing the bus (10.55 h)to Medjugorje. Therefore we have the possibility to arrange a taxi from Split to Medjugorje. Our taxi has 2 places more,in this case the "taxi trip" will cost € 30 p.p. Cheers, Miranda
BiH Railways web is out of order for a few days, so i can't check it. I need the information about the timetables of Mostar - Sarajevo trains. Hi, Is it possible to go from Sarajevo to Ohrid? For example with a night bus? Are there any direct connection or what should we do? Thank you.
Hello, I am planning to travel through Bosnia on bikes this summer. I am planning to start in Crotaia - Slavonski Brod and then go through Bosnia see everything what is possible to see on my way or better said I want to plan my way through some interested places. But here is the first problem. It is really hard to plan my way because google maps seems to not work in Bosnia either I could not find any online maps like Google maps which works for Bosnia. If you know some , I would be glad to share it with me. Other questions is about sleeping there. We will probably book hotels in bigger citys like Banja Luka,Sarajevo and Mostar. However we also plan to sleep somewhere in nature or in camp under tent. However I could not find any camps in Bosnia and I wonder about sleeping in nature there ,because I read that there is lot of mine fields. Another question is about currency. What will be best to prig with yourself. I am for sure taking VISA and MASTERCARD ,but not sure if take € or BAM. Because I have read ,that € became quite popular there. So here are my questions so far and I would be happy if anyone can answer them. Thank you so much :)
bahn.de claims this once a day train leaves sarajevo at 7:05, then doesnt stop again till it gets to Croatia, i.e doesnt stop at Mostar, or anywhere else in Bosnia. We are going straight through to Ploce but as this is a scenic ride we'd like it to stop as much as possible. Surely this is just a fault in bahn's data. Also, I assume you can see the fallen bridge at Jablanica from the train. atlasobscura.com/place/bridg... If you've done this ride and have any other info about the views please let me know. At Ploce we'll need to road it to Split. I know there are plenty of public buses but we'd like to hire our own (there will be over 10 of us) and get them to run right along the coast. We'll have plenty of time before gettign the night train out of Split.
