Hello people, I started planning a rail/ road/ backpacking 20 days trip from Istanbul to Croatia/ Slovenia, along Bulgaria, Macedonia and former Yugoslavia countries. I know Istanbul & Bulgaria, but not yet been to Macedonia & former Yugoslavia countries. Any suggestions/tips for the path/ route should I take (by bus, train, hitch-hiking) not to miss the most attractive destinations, especially the gems of nature, folklore/ local customs, history, archaeology ??
