We are traveling from San Gimignano to the Cannes or Nice area. We are considering staying for one night some place in between. Genova is the center of that area but I don't know anything about it and it looks quite industrial...was considering avoiding it. Any opinions on a place? Or should we push through and just stay in France? We're trying to keep it to about $100 per night.
We are staying in Riomaggiore (Cinque Tere) from 9/27/14 thru 9/30/14. I understand there is ferry service between the 2 areas. Is that the best method of travel? We will NOT have a car. How do I obtain a ferry schedule and do I need tickets in advance?
What would you recommend that two middle aged ladies do in Genoa over 4 days? We like walking, museums, galleries, people watching and I'd love to see some dolphins. We are on a budget but love good authentic food.
I challenge you to sort a schedule for us! Many thanks
Have a question!
Not exactly where to post this? We going to be in Parma heading to Cinque Terra latter part of May staying in Vernazza for 2 nights, unfortunately it is over the weekend (Oh well). What is the best and quickest way to get to Cinque Terre from Parma? Also with the Springs rains coming has anyone heard how the trails are especially from Monterosso to Vernazza. We would like to see all the cities if possible either by train, walking or boat. We get the info from the Park however it is in Italian, and can only understand the chart a little.
Thanks for all the help and info.
