L.S. As i am traveling home from Spain with a friend. We would like to visit the city of Bordeaux but we do not want to drive into Bordeaux. Just outside Bordeaux with private parking and a good connection to Bordeaux center. either with a train or a bus. about 30 minutes. I looked at Libourne. There is one public car park but will that be save. Please advise. Thank you Louise
from Spain on the A62 you can easily go into Bordeaux with a car, done it zillion times, my summer vacation area here. alternatively you can stop at Cenon. Train station with parking ter-sncf.com/Region/aquitain... bus and tram A takes you to central Bordeaux in 15 minutes, http://www.infotbc.com/ hope it helps

Take a look this page infotbc.com/le-reseau-tbc/pa... This shows a map the public park and ride locations across the whole tram network, so you can easily find one that's close to your route up from Spain. A ticket for the parking plus a return tram ride into the city centre is just €3,50 per person. For an extra 80 cents you can get a one day ticket for all trams and buses.
