Hi, I'll be travelling with my 8 month old baby to Boracay in a couple of weeks. She has started to eat solids since 2 months. Since we don't have a kitchen in our hotel, I was wondering if I can get ready made (preferably organic) infant's food in Boracay. And if so, which stores? Hope somebody can help. Many thanks Read more: World Travel Forum
Thanks for your reply. We don't have time in Manila, we are heading straight to the domestic airport for Caticlan. I was already intending to bring the infant food myself, but we are staying for 2 weeks in Boracay. That means that we need a lot of them. My daughter eats 2 to 3 bottles a day, which is the problem. We are only allowed to bring max 10 kg luggage! It would be great to know if there are any stores on the island that sell them.

Yes, there are plenty of grocery stores in boracay and they also have imported products.you can find them in D'Mall or along the beach. There's also Mercury Drug, it's a big drugstore+grocery... for sure there are bottled baby food sold.

Thanks for all your replies. That's a relief to know that my luggage will not only be filled with infant's food.

There are a handful of big grocery stores here, Crafts, Budget Mart, Price Lite and 24-7 Quick Mart. BUT... Ready made, processed baby food is rare and choices are extremely limited. Friends I know bought a cheap blender for their hotel room (hopefully there is a fridge in the room) and pureed fruit and other meals for their baby, which worked out just fine. They also bought food in restaurants and pureed it up. Powdered milk and diapers are readily available though.
