Bora Bora - when to travel

by KTLXU Online Now Jan 25, 2005 at 5:00 AM

We are thinking of honeymooning in Bora Bora. We would be leaving England on about 20th September and want to know whether that is a good time to visit weather-wise. We are hoping to go away for 3 weeks - does anyone have any ideas about a good itinerary for a 3 week stay in that part of the world?

First of all Congratulations Secondly, do you wish to spend all 3 weeks in Bora Bora? You might be interested in Huahine, Raiatea, Moorea, Rangiroa as well. Huahine and Rangiroa are really geared for the water enthuisast as there is not much nightlife, museums or restaurants. Bora Bora is a great island for 1 week and then you can spread out your time in the others that you may choose. There is a lot to see and do on Moorea, very popular with artists. Great scuba diving there too. You weather will be heading from winter to spring. May through October is slightly drier and cooler, November through March are the rainy months and June through August the tradewinds can bring heavy winds and southern rain. September is right smack in the change of season. Another possibile option is to stay in Bora Bora for a week and take a cruise to other islands. Have I thoroghly confused you? Have fun!
