Does anyone have any information on what is best / easiest / fastest / not too expensive way to get to Boquete from Bocas del Toro. Everything I can find in guidebooks seems to say I have to ferry/bus or fly all the way to David and then turn around and go back to Boquete! Isn't there a better, more direct way of getting there? Thanks!
Thanks for the info! That's what I was afraid of. I'll be coming from Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica, to Changuinola, to Bocas by bus & water taxi/ferry. I've read that the road from Chiriqui Grande over the mountains to David is spectacular. I was hoping that there was a turn off along the way so I wouldn't have to go all the way to David and then backtrack to Boquete. Oh well. If this route is indeed so beautiful I won't mind the time this will take. Is the road from Almirante to David also scenic? I think I can take a water taxi/ferry to either Almirante or Chiriqui Grande from Bocas town. Any thoughts on which is the better route? Also, if you have suggestions on places to stay / eat / see in these places? Thanks
