how much does it cost to travel off boanair for a day to check out the surrounding islands?

There is no longer any ferry service to the other ABC islands...so a plane ticket will now determine that cost.

Travelling to other Islands I think you are referring to aruba and Curacao. You have to make use of the airlines DCA or Bonaire Exel. One day trip to Aruba would be around US$ 200 and to Curacao US$ 100. And I think you still have to add the apllicable taxes but I am not sure.
