by uknetizen Online Now Mar 5, 2013 at 5:51 AM

I'm looking for a nice hotel in the Bodrum Peninsula that has a Kids Club that accepts children of 3 years old (most accept only 4 years old and up if they are on their own). The whole point of having a Kids' Club is that you can relax while the kids are having fun!!
      Any suggestions!?

    • Bodrum then onto Kos OR Marmaris then onto Rhodes??

by Naes47 Online Now Jul 5, 2012 at 5:22 AM

Hi, We're two single guys travelling into Istanbul and thinking of either flying down to Marmaris or Bodrum. We plan on going for 10 days or so and want to party and enjoy nice beaches during the day. We're either thinking of going to 1)Kos (Greek Islands) by ferry from Bodrum (Turkey) to enjoy a bit of Turkey and the Greek Islands. 2) Rhodes (Greek Islands) by ferry from Marmaris, (Turkey) to enjoy a bit of Turkey and the Greek Islands. Has anyone been to either or any of these places? What types of people/nationalities are attracted to these places? Any information here would help.. Thanking you in advance!

    • Jasmin Beach Apartments - general Bodrum advice

by gazstrong Online Now Jun 8, 2012 at 3:10 AM

Hi Ive booked the Jasmine Beach for my wife and 3 year old son for mid August, ive been informed by my travel agent that it is the quietest accomodation available as its 10 mins away from the main strip. I am hoping this is correct? We expect Bodrum to be crowded and boisterous but were wondering what the more quiet areas are that we could enjoy, such as the old town etc? Also, how easy is it go to Kos on a day trip? ps any general advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance Gary

Hello :) I thought I would drop by here as I have always received so many valuable tips on holiday travel. I have just booked a holiday in Turkey at the Royal Arsalik Beach Hotel - Gumbet, near Bodrum (I think!). My question is this .. Does the hotel supply beach and pool towels? Very grateful for all replies, and any information about this hotel. The pictures look nice, but that doesn't really tell me much, except they have a good photographer ;) Thanks in advance, Yvonne x

Holiday Accommodation in Bodrum for families

by Torquemada418 Online Now Dec 29, 2011 at 1:32 AM

Hi All, I am looking to rent holiday accommodation for 4-5 weeks during the Summer in the Bodrum area. We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children aged 3 and 6). We are anxious to avoid large groups of partying tourists, so want to find somewhere quiet with all the amenities a family needs (restaurants, shops, activities, swimming, beach etc) but probably NOT on a 'holiday complex' or village. We would probably need a 3 bedroom facility and are happy to rent it from a local owner so that the money goes straight to them rather than a tour operator or agent. Can you give any suggestions or direct me to any websites or listings where I might be able to view available property of this type in the Bodrum area? Many thanks in advance. Torquemada

Hi, I was in beautiful Bodrum in June this year (2011) I bought a lovely silver bracelet. It had fine chains with say, four or five large medallions between the rows of chains. difficult to describe. It looks Edwardian but very Turkish as well I unfortunately lost it and cannot contact the shop to buy another. my receipt says Bodrum Silver Gallery. The shop was along the street from the castle to the port. on the left going to port. I am so disappointed to lose it want another. Loved Bodrum, the food, the people and the beautiful harbour and castle. Can anyone help, would much appreciate it

      Where to stay?

by Azzagazza Online Now Sep 25, 2011 at 2:23 AM

Hi, I am planning a family holiday next summer (4 adults, 1 pensioner + 1 child age7). We have been to Icmeler a couple of times and love Turkey but fancy trying a different area. We have narrowed it down to the Bodrum area but just don't know where? Can anybody recommened which area is best for our party? We like bars, restaurants, shops etc - not nightclubs and too much noise. A wee bit of entertainment in the evening, not too quiet, not too busy if that makes sense. Would Bodrum itself be suitable, Gumbet sounds toooooo wild for us. Maybe one of the outlying places like Yalikavak or Torba might be better for our needs? Would appreciate any suggestions, thank you!

I've heard it's possible to visit these sites in the same day. c- I'd like to do some dives, do you know if there's a diving centre in the resort? d- Is there a free wi-fi connection inside the resort? e- what air/water temperature can I expect? Thank you in advance for your help. p.s. I'd like to know some local tour operator that can arrange the trip to ephesus etc.
