Planning a trip later on in the year, and am hoping that there are cheap places to stay in Bodrum. I don't want a hotel with all mod cons ... I'm looking for a small bed an breakfast which is cute and near the centre of town.

    • Visit Bodrum?

by very-happy Online Now Apr 2, 2014 at 10:06 PM

      Hello,
My boyfriend and I are going to Turkey , arriving in Istanbul on April 21st. We will stay in Istanbul until de 27th, that we will take an early am flight to Cappadocia, staying 2 nights in Groeme. We are trying to decide what to do afterwards? Maybe to fly to Izmir and spend a night in Selcuk in order to visit Ephesus and Pamukkale, after that we were thinking on going to Bodrum - by bus?- for maybe 4 days before flying back to Istanbul for the last couple of days prior to returning home.
Is this a good time to visit Bodrum? we would probably stay from the 1-5th May, if so, what area to stay? and would our itinerary make any sense?
      Any suggestions are highly appreciated!
      Thanks!

by amom1st Online Now Mar 7, 2014 at 8:51 AM

A friend and I are traveling to Bodrum in late March for a few days. Can anyone tell me what clubs/bars will be open then? Also looking for recommendations on what hotel to stay at. We'd like a place close to some clubs/nightlife but not too close which also serves breakfast. We are also wanting to visit Pamukkale. Do the buses even travel there during late March?

Heading to Turkey in May for a few days, wondering what our members views are on the pros and cons of staying in either the Bodrum area or

the Didim area.  Any other spot in that general area (leaving via Samos) I'm open to except Kusadasi.

      Cheers, Ian

It was the only thing on my trip that I cannot recall the location of or the name of. It was a public warm springs with crystal Lear effervescent water. I literally swam over ancient fallen Roman columns that were in the water. Where was I ???? please help. thank you

    • What's the general cost Bodrum?

by sival95 Online Now Jul 17, 2013 at 4:54 AM

I'm going to Bodrum in a couple of weeks for 10 days with my family and my friend, and I;ve heard that Bodrum is one of the most expensive places in Turkey, obviously because it's a tourist destination, but I was wondering if there was any way to keep the prices down. If you avoid going out to restaurants and mainly buy food from a shop or market, would you find that it was quite easy to eat and drink cheaply?
      Thanks!

    • How safe is it for girls to be out alone in Bodrum?

by sival95 Online Now Jul 16, 2013 at 6:13 AM

I will be going to Bodrum with my parents and my friend (my friend and I are both 17 year old English girls) and I've heard some bad things about the men there... during the day time we will obviously be mainly with my parents just looking at touristy places, but in the evening I'm guessing my friend and I will be going out by ourselves and I was just wondering how safe this would be for us? We're not stupid, but we will probably be drinking and I've heard that some Turks don't take too kindly to drunk, British, female tourists! Any thoughts? Thanks! :)
