1. What is the best thing to do from Manchester airport? (2 adults, 2 children)
Hire a car? Taxi? Train? Or bus?
2. I am staying for 6 nights. Are there such interesting places to go in Blackpool or is it better if I stay 3 days n Blackpool and 3 days in Windermere?
Thanks in Advance
Could you help me out?
I'm going with my grandparents to Blackpool (if I'm off college) dates Are to be confirmed
Can anyone give me details of Catholic Churches near the royal sea bank and the Boston hotels?
I don't know which one they're staying in yet but I know it's either the Boston or the royal seabank
what time does the clubs close on saturday 30th march?
Can somebody help please I go to blackpool on the 9th November till the 11th November are all the bars and clubs still open on that weekend
It is my stag do in October so I am not so worried about the choice of bars/clubs that will be open because of the illuminations. What I am worried about is dress code as I have never been out around Blackpool before and whilst researching some people say the dress code is very smart (no jeans/trainers) to anything goes (fancy dress etc.
Also I have read about VIP cards, how can I go about getting one of these and are they worth the money?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Hi, well me and 3 other of my mates are going to blackpool for 2 days and woundering where we can stop? i know travelodge let us but we all wanna stop in the same room that is closer to town and the pleasure beach, so any ideas?

i need a good transfer from blackpool to blackpool airport can anybody recommend.
i am looking for a good professional chauffeur service around the uk
i am planning on going to blackpool in the summer does anyone no any cheap hotels
i am taking my family on a little break to blackpool does anyone know any good family hotel.
I'm thinking of staying in Blackpool sometime soon to see some relatives, I've stayed in Blackpool centre before and found it to be far too noisy for myself and my children at night.
Can anyone recommend a good family friendly hotel either on the outskirts of Blackpool, or within a few miles of Blackpool?
Hi, my family and I are coming to Blackpool in August 2010.
Do you know of any house-sitting opportunities then?
Ive been going to Blackpool for many years and have travelled on the Trams countless times and have been as far as Fleetwood, but have never travelled all the way in the opposite direction, what and where is 'Stargate' and what is there.
Is snow a regular occurence during the colder months in Blackpool?
Many thanks for your help
Can any of youse eggheads give me any indication of how easy/difficult it'll be for me to find pleasant but inexpensive guesthouse accommodation (with ensuite) in August during the Rebellion Punkfest (7/8/9/10th)?
What mistakes shouldn't I make? I'm guessing that I may be emerging from the Winter Gardens at around 2.00 a.m. each night so public transport'll be thin on the ground and also yer average guesthouse won't relish punters coming back in at such a late hour, will they?
I'll need to be within walking distance of the Winter Gardens, won't I? Which probably means the most popular hotels will be in that area and they'll all be booked up.
And do the locals beat the crap out of punks who wander around late at night? Or is every night party night in Blackpool in August, with jolly persons filling the streets till 4.00 a.m., exchanging good-natured banter and witty repartee as opposed to kicking people's heads in?
Is the Clifton Hotel on Talbot Square open or not? Hotel booking companies are still advertising it and some state that it has been closed for 2 years or more. No wonder business in Blackpool is so bad when nobody knows which hotels are open !!!
Is the fun fair on the boardwalk (rides, stalls, carnival lighting etc) at Blackpool in action all year round or only during the warmer months?
Many thanks for your help
I would like to ask the person who wrote this report when they did stay at the Derby Hotel?...
Hiya, i was just wondering
1) if you could give me an idea of things that 16-17 year olds can do on a holiday in Blackpool.
2) What children age 11-13 can do on holiday in blackpool.
I was just thinking of things that there are other than the waxworks and the pleasure beach. Especially for the 16-17 year olds.
Hoping someone can tell me where is a decent place to stay and some of the good pubs in Blackpool. I know I'm not going during the best of times weather-wise, but nevertheless I will be there in Early November. I need a place to stay. Doesn't necessarily need to be the Ritz Carlton, but then again I don't want the Bates Motel either. Something decent for a modest price. I'm looking for something near the Empress Ballroom-somewhere within reasonable staggering distance because I will be drinking heavily celebrating the reunion of the Verve, which is why I will be in Blackpool in the first place. Also, I wouldn't mind knowing what the best combination of reliability and economy is for getting from Blackpool to Liverpool Airport, as I have a flight to Latvia the next day. Whoever can help out the best wins an ice cold pint of your choice, personally paid for by me. :)
Does anyone know a hotel or guesthouse which is close the opera house as i want to buy tickets for a show there and want to stay close by.
Also do you know how close it is to blackpool centre?
Thank you so much,
I am going to a conference at the Winter Gardens, can anyone recommend a hotel within 5 minuts walk. Thank you.

A friend recommended a hotel in Blackpool at which they stayed at a long while ago for which they mentioned the name. For the life of me I cannot remember what it was called - old age!
I do remember her mentioning that it was owned by the Gordon family and has around 200 rooms, but thats about it.
Could anyone please let me know if you know which hotel this is?
