my wife and i will be at rod stewart concert jan 19....is it safe to walk from bjcc arena to downtown hotels....or is it dangerous to be in downtown later at night?

I wouldn't do it. I love Birmingham but it is not safe to walk late at night unless you are in a large group. As just a couple it wouldn't be safe in that area.
