I would appreciate an indication of the taxi fare to & from the Hauptbahnhof to Schloss Stolzenfels on a Saturday afternoon. Would ther be any difficulty in getting a taxi back to Koblenz?

My husband will be working in Landstuhl this summer, and I will be joining him for part of the time. I return home before him, and therefore have to get myself from Landstuhl to the airport. I am going to take the train, but my flight is in the morning, so my train leaves at 5:15 am. I am a bit nervous about travelling by myself that early in the morning. Will the train be somewhat full early on a weekday? I'd actually feel better if there were more people around than being by myself. Thank you!
do i need to prebook a train from Frankfurt airport to mainz to save money i've been on the DB Bahn site and there are a number of trains which are not available for purchase on line but it states they are 15euros flat rate.
is this rate available if i just buy on the day

Does anyonehave any ideas how often ferry's leave costs etc.
I have had a look at the KD website and it says there are only two ferries at 8.45am & 9.45am is this correct or are there more ferries

We will be flying into Frankfurt and will need to get to our hotel in Rudesheim. We envisage taking the train from the airport to Bingen and then using the ferry to get to Rudesheim. Does the ferry run 24/7 or is timing likely to be critical? Any advice/comments would be appreciated.
Could anyone tell me how I can find the 2009 prices of the ferry from Bingen to Rudesheim for a car and 2 people.
We are bringing a group of 20 to Germany in the spring of 2007. We are looking for a place to stay from Good Friday thru Easter Sunday that is close to the Rhein for a good cruise down the Rhein, not too far from the Frankfurt airport, and an easy drive to Kaiserslautern. We looked at Bingen, but the NH hotel is not highly recommended. Is there a smaller town nearby that has reasonably-priced rooms with a nice atmosphere? We are staying Thursday evening at Liebenstein Castle; however, they can't accommodate us for Friday. We're afraid after a charming hotel like Liebenstein the group will have a disappointment in their last accommodation before they leave on Monday. Do you have a suggestion for us? Thank you. We are staying in Bacharach. We are coming from Koln in the morning. We would like to stop at St. Goar and see Rheinfels Castle. We would love to take a round trip cruise of the Rhine River from St. Goar to Bacharach or Bacharach to St. Goar. Please remember we are staying in Bacharach for the night. So we need a round trip cruise. Any suggestions for the best way to do this? Any help would be appreciated. JMcClanahan
We're going to be staying at the NH Hotel on Sunday night, 19 June. The reservation has been made for us so we can meet up with my father and his band, and we can spend the evening with them. We will be in Europe on the Rhein in August of this year and would LOVE to stay in a castle for a night. Since Bingen is at the end of our journey, we trying to find a direct website for Castle (Burg) Klopp to research availability and rates. Any help is greatly appreciated!
