Hi! Another nice town to consider is Avila Beach near San Luis Obispo sanluisobispocounty.com/visi... This website offers a lot of information on hotels and sightseeing for the whole region. Other beach towns include Morro Bay and Pismo Beach. If you are OK with camping, a few of the State Parks have facilities: http://www.slostateparks.com/ These cities are close enough to Santa Barbara that you would not have a long drive back and could spend some extra time visiting. If you have time and extra money, Hearst Castle near San Simeon is fascinating: www.hearstcastle.org/ Have a great trip - both Yosemite and the Central Coast of CA are beautiful!
