Que paso mano....and welcome to VT........d:o)

There are no tours to Big Bear Lake from Anaheim. Unless you have a private tour with driver/guide, but that is not cheap. The distance in about 85 miles and it is about two hour drive.

"existen tour desde Anaheim, hasta big bear lake de 1 día"

(Are there any tours from Anaheim to Big Bear Lake for the day?)

I don't know the answer, but I know there are people here who do, so hopefully an English version will get a speedy answer...

Usted puede buscar en este sitio para tener una idea de lo que está disponible:

Puede ser necesario tomar un autobús desde Anaheim a Big Bear luego tomar un bus local para una excursión de un día por la zona.

You can take the train to San Bernardino and then get the MARTA Shuttle bus to both Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear. I don't know of any tours but public transportation will get you there if you want to see Big Bear. http://www.bigbearlake.net/MARTA

The train would be through Amtrak. http://www.amtrakcalifornia.com/

    Enjoy southern California.

Just to clarify. Sierra Tours, are ski and snowboard trips and they are seasonal. (They do river rafting trips in the summer). Besides they don't come close to Anaheim. I believe the closest they come is Irvine. They do not sightsee. They are really just transport for skiers.

I had looked, as I know Grayline pretty well, but no Big Bear tours. although they likely have some skiing charters to Big Bear.

Yeah, Linda, I know. Trouble is, - without a day tour, the trip with the train and shuttle, will be difficult to do in a day.......d:o)

The only way to comfortably do this is with a private tour/car with a driver/guide.

......but of course it is not cheap........d:o)

Very true Bill. I can read Spanish fairly well, and I can hold a conversation if need be, but I am terrible at writing it........d:o)

I'm not sure how difficult it would be to do it in a day. We used to take the Amtrak from San Bernardino into Los Angeles for day trips and never had any trouble getting there and back on the same day. The only problem would be the shuttle schedule and I haven't looked at it for years. (We used to live down there.) I bet he could do it without a lot of problems. Obviously a car and driver would be much easier but also a lot more expensive. Depends on what he wants.

You know, frankly it is not that far considering. And the Metrolink does have a fixed schedule from Anaheim Station to San Bernardino Station. Further the MARTA shuttle does stop at Metrolink station. There are however only three times it goes, and you would need to be there at 8:45 am at the SB metrolink Station, and she cannot miss the last bus down the hill.....

    marta.cc/maps/BBV_otm_mapsch...

But yes it is doable in a day........d:o)

Not that it's really important, but is BadillaJohn male or female? Example:

    1. "Depends on what he wants."
    2. "...and she cannot miss the last bus down the hill....."

    Just curious,
    Linda

My assumption was male because of the "John" in the name. Does it make any difference? It is also grammatically correct to refer to an unknown person as "he" since you have no reference. Probably not politically correct these days though . . . ;^)

No it doesn't make any difference. I was just curious about the path of deduction. I too thought the OP was male, because of the name. Now, thinking about it, maybe we are all projecting our wishes. Erik thought the OP was female. :-).
