Biarritz or Bayonne?

I am planning to be in the Biarritz-Bayonne area for 3 days in mid September. I will have to be at the airport at about7:45 0n a weekday for my 9:00 flight. I can stay in either town. Which town is closer and easier to get to the airport by bus? I was in Biarritz several years ago. I ate at the great Mexican restaurant, but had difficulty finding inexpensive restaurants. Are there any? merci
