We need affordable lodging in Bern, preferably near the Paul Klee museum. We would be staying only one or two nights. We will be there in early October 2007. Any suggestions? Thanks!
If you are looking for economy is Bern there are a couple of places but not near P Klee. You might pick a place near the train station as there is a bus (#12) that runs to the museum and ONLY runs when it's open(closed Mon). Rick Steve's, whom I trust, recommends Backpackers Hotel Glock (www.bernbackpakers.com) or Bern Youth Hostel (www.jugibern.com). Glock is a little nearer the train station. For other ideas you might Google "Bern hotels" and see what you find. You can get into Klee free, I believe with a BernCard or Swiss Railpass.
