what is the best way to get to interlaken from bern. are there any train/bus service available. how much time does it take and how much would it cost. from bern we would like to travel to paris. are there any direct train connections available? thanks
you can find the answers to that on www.sbb.ch this is the site of the swiss train system. It is also in english. Just type in where and when your journey starts, where you want to go and it shows you the trains, where to change trains, how long it takes and how much it costs.

there are direct trains from interlaken to bern every 30min. the price is about 26 swiss francs one way, 52 return. You go for free with Eurailpass, Interrail, Eurodomino. From Bern to Paris there are at least 2 direct trains a day (maybe 3). It takes about 4.5 hours.
