Hi, i'll be in Berlin for about 2 months and would like to purchase a bicycle while im there, now second hand bikes aside, how much are the normal prices for a city bike and what models are within that range ? There seems to be a wide range of bike models and types out there, is there a "normal" bike ? If you can drop the name of the shop and its location that would be helpful too Thank You
The average price for a city bike would be between 300 and 400 Euro, that is a bike with just a few gears,normal tyres and a basket.They are good for getting around in a city or between towns in an area without steep hills. If you plan to take it home and ride it in a city there, fine. If not, I'd not buy a new one. Berlin's public transport is very good. Sorry, I can't tell you any bicycle store in Berlin.

Perhaps even more hits if you google "Fahrrad laden berlin mitte" or: "Fahrrad shop berlin mitte"
Leihfahrrad = hire bike
I agree, to buy a new bike and then sell it again would be the wisest thing to do.
