Firstly, Hi all, name is Jamie ok, me and a mate are going to Berlin to see pearl jam at the 02 world Berlin. would like to stay at a hostel, near to, or a short train ride away from this venue. would like also near some sort of night life as we are there for 5 days and we wish to taste the culture and experience some of the history etc. if anyone who has done similar and has had a great experience of Berlin, i would love to hear and share that experience and recommendations. thanks kindly in advance!!
Hi Jamie To get you started, have you browsed through the pages on Berlin already developed by VTers? As you're new to VT (welcome!) you might not yet be aware of how to do this. Simply type Berlin into the blue box in the top right hand corner of the screen and press the 'Go' icon - there are already literally thousands of tips there, so it's just a matter of finding the writers whose interests and budgets match your own. Jamie, You basically describe The Circus hostel. If they cannot accomodate the two of you: East Seven, St. Christopher's, City Stay (basically in this order). And CatherineReichardt is right: read some tips that have already been published here on vt. There are plenty.

If your in to history you have to see Checkpoint Charlie,The Wall...... Aah Berlin so much to see. Alexanderplatz,Kurfurstendam(a lot of shops)
