Have just been informed by British Airways that my wife's flight to Brandenburg airport Berlin is being diverted to Berlin's Tegel airport,because quote "Brandenburg will not be officially opened til 2013" unquote. It is not my wish to start a debate but thats what we were told! She wants to get to Chemnitz. I see that from Tegel there is a JetExpress bus TXL which will go to Lehrter Banhof station. My question is can she get a train direct from Lehrter to Chemnitz or will she have to change? Many thanks

Lehrter Bahnhof is now called Berlin Hauptbahnhof (main train station). For connections see the DB timetable (previous answer).

For the hole trip you can use this site: vbb-fahrinfo.de/hafas/query....? and enter: Flughafen Tegel Chemnitz, Hauptbahnhof

You can also use DB website for the whole journey. Is VBB better than DB?

Sorry, when i looked at it (was wondering if DB is now also showing bus connections) DB did not accept TLX or Tegel, but now it accepted TXL Berlin...
