Hi i am going to bertchesgarden on nov 11 for 3 days what is the weather like during this time. also is it possible to walk up the mountain to the eagle nest at this time of year advice welcome
The Eagle Nest will be closed, so there will not be any bus service to get there and the elevator from the Kehlstein bus parking will be closed as well. It is possible to hike, the nearest parking place is Sharitzkehl and the walk uphill takes about two hours. However it is not a hike I would recommend with bad weather. Moreover, in a bad weather you will not be able to enjoy the panoramic view that is the main reason for going to the Eagle's Nest. November is a cold and rainy month, which means mountains covered with clouds. Snow is not unlikely in November.
