2 days in Belo Horizonte...What shall I do?

All - I am travelling thru Brazil with my best friend in March. Belo Horizonte is one of our stops. Knowing very little about Belo Horizonte I was hoping that someone could give me info on where to stay, where to go (shopping/night life), and what is an absolute must do. We only have 2 day there so I am trying to maximize my stay. Thanks in advance! H-n-D :)
