Hello, I was wondering if it would be best to book an apartment right in the main area of Le Palais for a week, a home with a garden in the Bordilla in Le Palais (around 1 km away from the main area of Le Palais), and rent bikes to explore the island (or take the bus). Or would you recommend staying a night or two in a hotel in each of the main cities? (Le Palais, Sauzon, etc). I'm finding it difficult to make a decision and thought it would be best to ask people who have explored the island already! :) We are going there for our one year anniversary. Thanks, Carol
well coming to my backyard. Beautiful island you will love it. part of Unesco World Heritage site. Le Palais is wonderful, I need to start putting pictures here . the best way is to walk or rent a bike, then you can take the ride to Sauzon; dont stay in hotels an apartment or B&B is very nice there. try these people http://www.gite-belle-ile.com/ here is the bus service No 399 belle-ile.com/espace/fichier... to eat traditional creperies go to La Paloma at the Rosériere Le Palais, more traditional Le Verre à Pied,pl de la Republique, Le Palais or for seafood, Resto le Vivier, place de l'hôtel de ville,le palais. hope it helps
